This fall we will have had a web site for 5 years. The importance of backing up your computer files is underscored by the fact that we lost the viability of about 200 files on our web site this past winter. We have since started over from scratch to rebuild our site.

Company Profile

The owners and operators of Black Hills Country Builders, Inc. are Dan and Ginger Wessels. We offer 7 years of education and around 40 years of combined experience in a wide range of fields. We belong to the Black Hills Homebuilders Association and the Construction Industry Center.

We own and have access to a wide range of equipment that allows us excavate for foundations, construct foundations, rough frame, hang/tape sheet rock, install cabinets, trim, fabricate custom built in finish components, replicate historical trims and turnings. For instance on an addition to a home we have the experience and are set up to do all components except plumbing, heating, and electrical. On small jobs we do most all of the items mentioned out of maintaining a flow of activity and a continuity of the project getting the job done in the least amount of time. On larger jobs for the same reason of getting the job done in the least amount of time we will hire subcontractors to allow for a greater volume of resources available working within reason of job site constraints.

The officers of BHCB, Inc. have lived and worked in 9 states throughout the west. We have been involved in projects ranging from small residential jobs of less than $100.00 to large industrial type jobs valued at over seven million dollars. Our experience includes design and construction of residential and light commercial structures, water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer, Portland Cement Concrete Paving Irrigation pipelines, control structures, and lined ditches. Construction in electrical substations, power plants, natural gas booster stations, gold mine, fish farm and flood control. Clients have included many individuals, companies and public entities. Included are US Bureau of Reclamation, City of Lead, State of South Dakota, City of Rapid City, American Soil Conservation Service, Western Area Power Administration, Amax Gold, Western Aquatic Resources, and Phillips Petroleum.
